“Romneycare” is the microcosm of Obamacare – the following is a disturbing, and factual look into the future of our new health care plan and what it means to you, despite what Congress is attempting to sell you.

What is Romneycare? In case you don’t know, former governor of Massachusetts (and a possible republican presidential candidate for 2012) Mitt Romney instituted a plan for the state of Massachusetts which would cover every man, woman and child – state government-run healthcare. Basically, Romneycare is a genetic blueprint for Obamacare.

First the basics. Romneycare promised to do just what Obamacare is promising to do: Reduce costs for insurance premiums, make health coverage affordable for all citizens, and promises that costs will be manageable on our budget (i.e. deficit neutral).

Here are some quick facts on Romneycare (per Wiki):

Has The Census Become Unconstitutional?

In America, Congress, freedom, US Senate on February 25, 2010 at 9:36 pm

In the video, Jerryday.com explains how the US Census now greatly oversteps Constitutional boundaries-if anyone cares. Just sayin’…

(Source: USconstitution.net) The Constitution includes the phrase “[An] Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.” Congress first met in 1789, and the first national census was held in 1790.

Today, the controlling law for the U.S. Census is Title 13 of the U.S. Code. There is a lot of census data collected in the United States today, such as economic figures, sales and production figures, and agricultural statistics. Still, the head count is the only part of the census that is called for by the Constitution. The code for the enumeration can be found in 13 USC 141. In this code, the census is directed to be taken in 1980 and every ten years thereafter, and that the count is to be taken on April 1. The returns must be completed within nine months for use in apportionment of representatives. The code also specifies a mid-decade census be taken in 1985 and every ten years thereafter. This count need not be a head count (sampling may be used) though the data cannot be used for apportionment.

So when that knock on your door comes just remember your rights…

Harry Reid’s Past Comes Back To Haunt Him

In America, Congress, Government Lies, Health Care, Obama, US Senate on February 24, 2010 at 8:28 pm

Under the Bush Administration Reid explained:

“When legislation is supported by the majority of Americans it eventually overcomes the filibuster’s delay. But, when legislation only has the support of the minority the filibuster slows the legislation, prevents the Senate from ramming it through, and gives the American people enough time to join the opposition. The filibuster is far from a procedural gimmick it’s part of the fabric of this institution we call the Senate.  It was well known in Colonial legislature before we became a country and it’s an integral part of our Country’s 214 year history. The roots of the filibuster are found in the the Constitution and in our own rules. In establishing each house of Congress, Article 1 Section 5 the Constitution states: each house may determine its rules.  And in crafting the rules of the Senate, Senators establish the right to extended debate.”

What would you like us to believe: The filibuster is a necessary tool in crafting legislation OR it’s simply a Republican gimmick being used to block much-needed reform?

Obama Explains How Snow, No Snow, Warmer Temps And Cooler Temps All Indicate Global Warming

In Breaking News, Congress, global warming, Obama, Uncategorized, US Senate, World News on February 23, 2010 at 1:06 pm

Gateway Pundit reports:

Beat That Dead Horse–
Barack Obama admitted in 2008, “Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” (Video).  Obama also admitted in 2008 that cap and trade would bankrupt the coal industry. (Video) In 2009 he urged the US Senate not to believe his own misinformation on higher energy costs and pass cap and trade legislation anyway. And despite all of the evidence that the global warming hoax was manufactured, Barack Obama still wants to ram the democrat’s destructive cap and trade legislation through Congress.

This past weekend Obama was pushing the junk science in Nevada. Obama told the crowd that the record cold and snow this year was just part of global warming climate change. These zombies would believe anything.

Obama must have missed the news debunking the hurricane myth.
Oh well, his audience ate it up anyway.

It sounds to me like the facts debunking proving climate change are as obvious as the need for health care reform for the best health care system in the world.  Stay tuned for more words of wisdom from our Commander-In-Chief/leading climatologist.

UPDATE: Pajamas Media has more on global warming

Scott Brown: “Seat Me Now!”; Congress Tries To Jam Legislation While They Still Can

In Congress, Government Lies, Scott Brown, US Senate, World News on February 3, 2010 at 4:57 pm

What games they play…

Amazingly, Congress is trying to ram legislation through the Senate before Scott Brown is seated to benefit the American people. Thank you Congress.

(Washington Times) Massachusetts Sen.-elect Scott Brown on Wednesday demanded to be seated immediately, saying that while he is scheduled to be sworn in Feb. 11, “there are a number of votes scheduled prior to that date.”

In a letter from his lawyers to Gov. Deval Patrick and Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin, Mr. Brown argues that the results of the special election in Massachusetts on Jan. 19 are not in doubt and he should be able to take the seat right away.

“We represent Senator-elect Scott Brown. We understand that the election returns from Massachusetts cities and towns were transmitted this morning to the State Secretary’s Office and by the State Secretary to the Governor’s Office. While Senator-elect Brown had tentyatively planned to be sworn into office February 11, he has been advised that there are a number of votes scheduled prior to that date, For that reason, he wants certification to occur immediately. As he is the duly elected United States Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he is entitled to be seated now.

“Accordingly, on behalf of Senator-elect Brown, we request that the results of the special election January 19, 2010, be certified without delay and that a duplicate be provided me in hand no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, so we may deliver the original by hand to the Secretary of the United States Senate in time to allow Senator-elect Brown to be administered the oath of office by the Vice President tomorrow afternoon,” wrote lawyer Daniel B. Winslow.
