It is said that power corrupts, but actually it’s more true that power attracts the corruptible. The sane are usually attracted by other things than power.” ~David Brin

Like any good mystery it takes time to solve the puzzle.  Since Obama’s swearing-in an avalanche of clues have surfaced and a mad frenzy to connect the dots has begun.   The latest ethical “oversight” in the young administration’s life is that of Cathy Zoi and her financial interest in newly recognized green companies.

Ever wonder why stories like this never get out? Great distraction PR teams I guess.

(Story By FrumForum)

While RNC chairman Michael Steele faces calls of resignation for questionable expenditures — including meals at a bondage-themed nightclub — it turns out the Democratic National Committee has been spending thousands of its own donor money on luxury hotels, limos and yes, scantily clad go-go dancers, FrumForum has discovered. Further, the DNC has been hiring White House helicopters for party use, while Steele fell into more hot water for even suggesting he might need a private jet.

An investigation by FrumForum of the DNC’s travel offset filings reveals a whole host of lavish spending. Among the highlights:

Megyn Kelly Grills The Stupid Out Of Stupak

In abortion, America, Breaking News, Congress, Corruption, Government Lies, Health Care, Obama, US Senate on March 22, 2010 at 10:06 pm

(By Nathan R. Jessup)

Megyn Kelly of FOX News interviews Bart Stupak for the first time since his cowardly vote.  Stupak, in a feeble effort to defend his indefensible position, gives away his hand.  Kelly explains the bill got 219 yes votes and needed only 216 to pass; she then goes on to say that Stupak and his pro-lie contingency would have prevented the bill’s passage.  The good news about the most corrupt Congress in history?  The American public is getting damn good at recognizing a liar.

[VIDEO] Stupak Didn't Know The Cameras Were Rolling-Pathetic

(Thanks to the Lonely Conservative for digging up this video)

Supposedly, Bart Stupak is a rare pro-life Democrat-or is he?  Last year Stupak addressed a frustrated crowd in Cheboygan, MI.  Much to the chagrin of those in attendance, Supak explains he will still vote in favor of the health care bill even if it includes federal funding for abortions.  Boy, this guy sure is a man of conviction eh? Are you kidding me??!!  We, as Americans need to be more diligent and thorough in researching our elected officials.

Please Call (Rep.D-NY) Eric Massa's Office And Ask Him To Reconsider

In America, Breaking News, Congress, Corruption, Government Lies, Health Care, Obama, US Senate on March 8, 2010 at 8:03 pm

Politico.com reports: Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) says the House ethics committee is investigating him for inappropriate comments he made to a male staffer on New Year’s Eve — and that he’s the victim of a power play by Democratic leaders who want him out of Congress because he’s a “no” vote on health care reform.

“Mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill,” Massa, who on Friday announced his intention to resign, said during a long monologue on radio station WKPQ. “And this administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they’ve gotten rid of me, and it will pass. You connect the dots.”

A spokeswoman for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) rejected Massa’s charge out of hand.

“That’s completely false,” said Katie Grant. “There is zero merit to that accusation.”

Massa insisted that he did not know the basis of a House ethics committee investigation into his conduct until after he announced his retirement last Wednesday, and he took Hoyer to task for going public with information related to the probe before it is completed.

In the monologue — an audio recording of which has been posted by Rochester’s WHAM-TV — Massa said he first heard that the ethics committee was questioning his staff in early February but had no idea why.

He said he now understands the basis of the committee’s investigation — and dismissed it as a matter of “political correctness” gone awry.

“I have to come find out that on New Year’s Eve, I went to a staff party — it was actually a wedding for a staff member of mine,” Massa said. “There were 250 people there. I was with my wife, and in fact we had a great time. She got the stomach flu, I went down to sing “Auld Lang Syne.” And with cameras on me — I’m talking three of them — filming me, I danced with the bride, and I danced with the bridesmaid. Absolutely nothing occurred.

“I said goodnight to the bridesmaid. I sat at down at the table where my whole staff was, all of them, by the way, bachelors. One of them looked at me and — as they would do after, I don’t know, 15 gin and tonics and goodness only knows how many bottles of champagne — a staff member made an intonation to me that maybe I should be chasing after the bridesmaid. His points were clear, and his words were far more colorful than that.

“And I grabbed the staff member sitting next to me and I said, ‘What I really ought to be doing is frakking you,’ and then tossled the guy’s hair and left, went to my room, because I knew the party was getting to a point where I shouldn’t be there.”

“Was that inappropriate of me? Absolutely.”

A Massa aide has told POLITICO that the New York Democrat has been engaged in inappropriate behavior “for eight months.”

Jed Brandt: “Communism Is The Answer To Our Problems”

In America, communism, Corruption, freedom, living free, Obama, Socialism, Tea Party on March 4, 2010 at 7:02 pm

In this video Jed Brandt refers to Communism and Socialism as the answer to America’s problems.  Brandt, a self-proclaimed Communist, spends six minutes here defining his America and how to get there; what he says may horrify you.

Who is Jed Brandt?

(Source: Wikipedia)

Raised in West Virginia, Brandt relocated to Chicago. He was a founder of Youth Against Apathy, a high-school network with communists, anarchists and bohemian youth from across Northern Illinois.

At age 15, he was tried on felony charges of aggravated battery (on a police officer) after “unarresting” someone from a squad of riot police in front of Chicago’s main military recruiting station on the eve of a threatened US invasion of Nicaragua. Hospitalized in the arrest with multiple contusions. He was exonerated when the bite mark allegedly delivered by Brandt on the arresting officer’s hand did not match his slightly crooked teeth.[citation needed]

In 1996, Brandt, along with student leaders from across the city, formed the Student Liberation Action Movement. He was the editor of the radical CUNY-wide tabloid Spheric, and then the Hunter College Envoy, founded by the editor of the National Guardian, James Aronson. Both newspapers received awards from the Campus Alternative Journalism Project for reporting and graphic design.

Jed was also briefly a member of the Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade, where he burned an American flag of the steps of the Art Institute of Chicago, an act he said was in solidarity with all humanity and for “a world without borders.”

Brandt was a staff illustrator for Vibe Magazine, and has done publication design and reporting for LeftTurn, Political Affairs, Monthly Review online, and numerous other publications. His first investigative article was written on the police torture case involving Chicago’s then-Commander of Detectives John Burge, for the now-defunct Revolutionary Worker newspaper.

Brandt studied philosophy and history at the City University of New York, Hunter College, with an emphasis on legal and social systems theory. He is currently in Kathmandu, Nepal, reporting on the Himalayan revolution.

Unfortunately, Jed Brandt, the Communist threat to America, and the Socialist agenda are all very real threats facing our precious nation.  Exposing a radicals like Brandt is the first step in preservation. Oh, one last thing: is it coincidence that his radical ideas came from Chicago?
