Demon Sheep Take Over

In Congress, Scott Brown, US Senate, World News on February 5, 2010 at 12:14 am

I have a feeling I am going to open the shower curtain and be face-to-face with a red-eyed, demonic pile of wool. This is about the most hilarious idea for an attack ad I have ever seen. Only in America.

Politicalwire.com reports: With polls showing her losing to Tom Campbell (R) in California’s U.S. Senate race, Carly Fiorina (R) releases a video attack that is the buzz of Twitter this morning — mostly because it backfired.

It’s definitely worth watching.

Jonathan Chait: “The funny thing about this ad, aside from the clumsy over-the-top quality, is the metaphor… And what’s the metaphor the ad uses? Sheep. But not in a disparaging way. The good politicians are sheep, doing what Grover Norquist tells them to do. Campbell, the ad tells us, is only pretending to be a sheep, but he’s really a wolf. So vote for the sheep.”

Here’s the advertisement:

According to the Huffington Post, the ad may be inspired by Black Sheep, a 2007 B-grade horror film made in New Zealand.
If only Scott Brown had thought of this during his campaign.
