US ‘SEAL’ Of Approval?

In freedom, Government Lies, military on November 25, 2009 at 4:10 pm

(while these images are utterly grotesque and break my heart, I want everyone to remember what took place)

(2004) Fallujah, somewhere over the Euphrates River the bodies of two (four were killed in the incident) mutilated Blackwater contractors hung from a bridge after being beaten and dragged through the streets. While I cannot comment on the mental makeup of such perpetrators, I can tell you we as Americans must enforce an appropriate response.

For over three years now the US has been searching for the ring leader of this massacre (Ahmed Hashim Abed-“Operation Amber”). Now, the search is over. American Thinker writes:

Now we have the spectre of seeing three U.S. Navy SEALs arrested because the terrorist they captured claims he was punched!

Who is the enemy here? Four SEALs captured Ahmed Hashim Abed, codenamed “Objective Amber” on September 3rd. Abed was the ringleader of the group who ambushed four security contractors in Fallujah in 2004, and hung their burned bodies on a bridge. One of the four, Scott Helvenston, had been a Navy SEAL himself for twelve years.

These brave men were brought up on criminal charges when the terrorist (Ahem Hashim Abed) complained to Iraqi investigators that he was given a “fat lip” by his captures.  Is this the message our Country wishes to send to the world? You may hang the charred, dead bodies of US Citizens from a bridge and when we finally haul you in, you will be protected by the same law that once protected those very men you murdered? Further, the men who gave you a fat lip will be subject to court martial. I want to scream as I even type the words…

(FOX News.com) Neal Puckett, an attorney representing McCabe, told Fox News the SEALs are being charged for allegedly giving the detainee a “punch in the gut.”

“I don’t know how they’re going to bring this detainee to the United States and give us our constitutional right to confrontation in the courtroom,” Puckett said. “But again, we have terrorists getting their constitutional rights in New York City, but I suspect that they’re going to deny these SEALs their right to confrontation in a military courtroom in Virginia.”

So now we have Navy SEALS who should be awarded the medal of honor for finally capturing a brutal terrorist and yet, are being sent to a Court Martial. We have the 9/11 terrorists being given the constitutional rights of American citizens along with a hearing in our Federal court system. And finally, don’t forget the millions of dollars to be collected from our citizens for taxes based on “carbon use” when global warming is turning out to be one big scam.  Anyone else mad?

  1. “Anyone else mad?” Devastated, son, anguished and in utter despair. Our populace is being decimated financially so all this malice can be heaped on our defenders while we are distracted trying to scrape up gas money. I am intensely proud of our troops and their decency, honor and loyalty to mission, and this travesty just breaks my heart. My gratitude to our armed service people and to brave voices like yourself is beyond measure. Thank you for speaking out.

  2. On the day we should be giving thanks for these guys, they are in danger of time in the brig. Reprehensible.

  3. It truly is appalling. May the troops all know we love and support them on this day of thanks. Hang in there people, I think a REAL change is coming…
